I have finally moved into the world of digital SLR photography! I just bought a Canon Digital Rebel XTi, along with some accessories, and have been playing around with it all weekend!
Of course, I know close to nothing about how to operate a DSLR, but that will come. So if I know you're into photography, you can pretty much expect me to call you and come hang out to learn and experiment (that means Miller, Brett, Murray, and Spencer). I'll be calling each of you soon...
Here are some preliminary pictures I've taken so far. Since I'm indoors and it's pretty crappy outside, the lighting isn't what I'd like it to be, but it's fair enough. More pics to come in the future!

Welcome to the dark side. SLR photography can and will take up more time, money and patience than golf and video games combined. I've been shooting with a D Rebel for a couple years now and just got a new 30d for Christmas. The rebel is a good camera. Now we just have to get you sold on a mac...
Those pictures look the same as the pictures I take with my 4 year old 2MP camera. You better go get all that money back you payed for those extra 3 letters.
Hey farmer guy...I obviously uploaded the images in smaller format than originally taken from the camera so it wouldn't take me 30 minutes to upload the picture. The camera is a 10.1MP camera, so most of the pictures here are in 1024x768 format for web use. In true size, I can zoom into Belle's pupil without the image becoming pixelated. Also, I was standing about 10 feet away from Belle while taking that picture...something that can't be done well with a Point & Shoot. Go back to taking pictures of your goats.
Why would I want to look at Belle's pupil and why do you need to stand 10 feet away to take a picture of your dog.
